A Bell Tolls and Hope Rings Out

This old bell is presently being stored in the 1880 Mayor's Office & Prison Building. We are looking for any information that the community might have regarding this bell. One theory is that it was used by the volunteer fire department to signal volunteers of a fire. At one point in time, the yoke which holds the bell was broken and repaired. We are looking into the possibility of restoring the bell and making it ring out again across the Todds Fork valley.
