So excited to announce that we have obtained our 501 (c) (3) status in a very short amount of time. This speaks volumes for the Leadership of Friends of Clarksville group. Thanks to our chair Wade Hall for being instrumental in making this happen.
Why is it important to have a 501 (c) (3) status? One of the biggest benefits of a 501(c)(3) is exemption from taxes. This means our organization is exempt from federal taxes, sales taxes and property taxes. It gives us the ability to offer our donors tax deductions when they make charitable gifts to our organization. This also makes us eligible for grants on federal, state and local levels.
Thank you for supporting our project to build a better tomorrow for the Clarksville community with our first goal of building a park with children's playground. This will be open to the public for all to enjoy. We will be announcing fundraisers in the near future for ways you can help.
